You are always you, and yet, you are always changing.

Welcome to Evergreen Therapy.

We help people find ease in change.

Just as a tree forms concentric rings around its core, you are always growing into something new. Your relationships — to your body, sexuality, gender identity, friendships, environment, community, romantic partnerships — are evolving and transforming.

There is wisdom in change, or even an invitation: to accept and grieve the changes; to honor and welcome the changes, too.

Hello, my name is Mikaela.

I am a student of ease; a devotee of self-acceptance over self-improvement; a seeker of the vastness. I am committed to a daily practice of feeling satiation. I am guided by the question: what becomes possible when we center ease as we navigate change?

My work is nourished by the daily practice of bearing witness to change. These thresholds have taught me all I know about holding space for the indescribable joy of creation, uncertainty, letting go, savoring, and ease. My practice weaves together these teachings.

“If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
